Programs - Community Center

Your Community Center, which was built in 2001, is situated on a beautiful parcel of land that rises above the Lower Macungie Township Municipal Campus. The dynamically designed Center houses: a state-of-the-art Gymnasium, two Community Rooms with multiple capabilities: catering, audio visual, combination, and a 10,000 square foot, hi-tech Library (see www.lowermaclib.org).

The Concession Stand is available for rental during larger sporting events.

The Community Rooms: offers 2 rentable rooms - separately or together, along with a catering kitchen, including two stoves, two refrigerators and ample counter space. The rooms are spacious and bright and can accommodate a total of 200 people, if rented separately, each accommodates 100 people.

Office hours:	7:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
Rental Hours:	7:00 am to 11:00 pm - daily.
Staffing:	On-hand, based on Community Center rentals that are booked.

Community Center/Rooms - Rules and Regulations

1. Decorating: NOTHING is to be affixed to the walls in any way, including tape, thumbtacks, nails, etc. Suggestion: Balloons with sand bags work very well & require little time.
2. Fees: Rental fees must be received seven days before the date of your event.
3. Hours of Operation: The Community Center is available for rental between the hours of 8:00 AM through 11:00 PM (times not negotiable).
4. Rental Time: All time at the facility must be accounted for, including time used for decorating & setup as well as the time booked for the actual function. Costs are incurred from decorating start time until the end of the affair.
   - NO admittance before scheduled rental time (this applies to vendors, caterers and/or the party renting the facility).
   - NO deliveries of equipment or supplies before scheduled rental time.
   - Events that go beyond the time contracted for will be charged double the regular rate.
5. Storage: Due to limited storage space, we cannot store anything prior to the event booked at the Community Center.
6. Damage Bond: If damage bond is required, a refund check will be returned within ten days providing the facility is deemed clean and damage free.
7. Damages to the Facility: Damages to the building and/or its contents will be charged to the individual renting the facility.
8. Trash Removal: Trash must be bagged, tied and put in the trash dumpster behind the building. Please do not leave trash bags setting on the floor of the facility.
9. Admittance to Other Rooms: Admittance to any rooms, other than those the renter has paid to rent, is prohibited.
10. Supervision of Children: Children must be supervised at all times. No running or playing in the lobby or hallways of the Community Center.
11. Heating Devices: Please see notice in kitchen regarding heating device restrictions.
