Lower Macungie Township Recreation would like to suggest some fun activities as June approaches…
Rainy Day Blues? Just because it is raining outside doesn’t mean it can’t still be fun! As long as it is safe and not a thunderstorm, embrace getting wet. Stomp while wearing your rain boots. Grab some toy boats. Search for a rainbow. Watch a leaf or maple seed pod floating on the water. Learn about where the water goes on a journey through the water shed.
Classic card games can be fun for all ages. Play a variety of games like Go Fish, Spoons, Slap Jack, Crazy Eights, Pay or Play, Rummy, Poker, Red or Black, War, Solitaire – Need to learn or revisit how to play? http://www.bicyclecards.com explains how to play hundreds of games.
Do the kids feel bossy? Play Simon Says - Where they can be in charge as Simon. Can your kids take on the adults? Maybe this will start a new tradition for family game night – Adults versus Kids style.
SUMMER PROGRAMS - All summer programs are being evaluated. Decisions regarding programs will be based on direction from the State and the CDC and will include all aspects including the safety of children and staff. As updates become available, they will be posted on this website and Facebook. Thank you for your patience.
SUMMER CONCERTS - LMT has made the difficult decision to cancel June concerts due to COVID-19. With all the uncertainty, we are not able to host these events in a way that we can assure everyone’s safety. Information on July and August concerts will be posted at a later date, based on guidelines from the State and the CDC.
Lower Macungie Community Center is closed. All classes at Wescosville Recreation Center and Hills at Lockridge are also cancelled during this time. Class participants and renters will be contacted with further information. Staff will be available by phone Monday - Friday between 8am - 4:30pm at 610-966-6924. Further updates will be posted on Facebook and on this page.
